I have new formica countertops, but they are dull not shiny. What can I use to make them shine like real granite?

if there are already scratches in it and its because of usual wear I would spray liquid gold on it. This seems to shine it up and takes the dullness out. Use it regularly.
not much will stick to formica (as far as finishes like polyurethane). only thing that would work is pour on acrylic glaze that dries to high gloss but that’s a lot of work
you’re better off replacing them with the shiny models (about $120 for 8 feet at home depot).
don’t try fine sand it either, you’ll ruin it.
DO NOT DO A SHINEY FINISH ON KITCHEN C-TOPS!!!!They will scratch and beacuse they are a glossy finish the scratches will show maore because the light is reflecting off of these damaged area!!!
