how to transform countertops?

my counter tops i think are wood with like wood paint is there something i can do to remodel them into granite with paint instead of the ,000 dollar stones. i was told there is like paint to do the job with please help!

    There is a paint product that you can paint on your counter tops to make them look kind of like granite at Lowe’s in the painting section. We looked at it the other day and it looks like it would be wonderful if it really works. It was almost $300.00.     you could tile the tops then finish off the edges with a wood or metal trim the tops would stay where they are .
    or you could get a contractor or source it yourself some formica sheeting then stick that on again finish the edging with wood or metal.
    or stainless steel .
    the Formica option comes in different patterns so you may be able to get a granite finish

    My daughter used granite floor tiles with close spacing and unsanded grout between the tiles. Looks real good. I would recommend using an oak edge around the perimeter of the counter.

    You can get Caeserstone (or a similar product) for $57 per square foot delivered and installed from many kitchen places in Flushing, Queens, NY. Not sure where you live, but there may be similar places in your area. Caeserstone is like a fake granite but not as costly. It is more durable, and comes in many different colors.
