Repairing a stone floor after pipes have been replaced?

We recently pulled up an area of stone flooring in our basement to replace a broken pipe. Now we want to repair the area, but we’re not sure how to do so. Is it possible to pour concrete around PVC pipe? Or is there some sort of barrier we should add around the piping?

    concrete can be poured right around pvc

    i would use dirt , then either cover with stepping stones or make your own so you can uncover it for repairs if needed.

    Underground pipes should not be sealed in concrete. Either cover it with a layer of dirt or use a sleeve of larger PVC pipe to protect it. When sewer pipes go through a foundation, sleeves are required by code.

    Assuming the pipe is at least 5 " below the floor,fill the area around and over it with compacted dirt leaving 3" for the thickness of your concrete.

    You can pour the concrete around but its not going to look great. I would suggest to find some matching stone to cover the area up.
